Dr. Deborah Cohen
Dr. Deborah Cohen was born and raised in Southern California
and grew up with many dogs and horses. As a child it was her dream to become a
veterinarian when she grew up.
Dr. Cohen left California when she was nineteen to pursue
her education and studies at Colorado State University in the field of Animal
Science and Anatomy and Neurobiology. She obtained her bachelor’s degree and a
minor in these areas in 1994.
Following graduation she moved to the island of St. Kitts in
the West Indies to attend Veterinary School at Ross University. She spent 2
years on the island then moved back to the United States to finish her clinical
year at Louisiana State University and graduated with her degree in 1998.
Since graduation she has stayed on the East coast and has
been practicing Veterinary medicine here in Maryland in small animal practices
within the Baltimore area.
Her primary focus is working with dogs and cats, and had
acquired extensive experience within internal medicine, soft tissue surgery,
dermatology, behavior and nutrition.
She is a very caring, compassionate and enthusiastic doctor,
who is committed to providing a high quality of medicine for her clients and
currently resides in New Windsor, MD. She has 4 bird dogs, Quay, Zote, and Mez
and Peg and owns an amazing Spynx cat named Zane. She is an avid horseback
rider, loves working with her dogs and enjoys all outdoor activity.
